Math and Science....

One of our education system's biggest problems is that there is not enough emphasis on the Maths and Sciences.....America is falling behind in the world because our students are not gaining the necessary knowledge in these fields....

Too much emphasis on useless book learnin and abstruse theories and nto enough on PRACTICAL skills....students shoudl learn about the greatness of the Capitalist system, why Marxism is evil and Socialism doesn't work, how to invest in the stock market, balance their finances...and so on....

Arts and Humanities programs should be defunded since many teachers in those fields only fill students minds with revisionist histories and make them hate their country.....in addition,the skills learned in those fields are not as important as those of MATH and SCIENCE,which are the wave of the future....

Most academics can't even fix a doorknob....and yet they want to advocate for socialism....most of the socialists who support Obama have never ran a business....never done payroll,none of it...

Since when was LA the most common college degree? I thinking it isn't so your point fails there. And while the average academic can't fix a doorknob, the average handyman can't explain Plato's "Republic", what Deism is or the cultural signifigence of "The Apothsis of Washington."

We live in a technological society....if a student graduating from college can't contribute to math, science, economics, business, or technology....they are useless..

1."Republic" has been a major influence on government for about 2,000 years, especially our own.

2. Deism was a key religious view among the Founders

3. "The Apothesis of Washington" is painted on the roof inside the Capital building.

So according to you people in a technological society don't need to understand important influences on their own government.

I majored in English and Film Studies, and I'm a millionaire (not to mention a contributor to society -- what exactly have you done?)... What a pointless world it would be if it was dominated by mathematicians, engineers and scientists.
