I think that's incorrect. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_politics_in_Australia#Measuring_the_effects_of_firearms_laws_in_Australia is a little dated, but it looks like most gun deaths are suicides.

Could you point me to some good sources to research gun laws/cultural attitudes towards guns in Australia? (Or should I just take my own advice and just hit teh Google?)
