Well we heard rumors of this before, but apparently there's actual planning for this:

Well, we must've all realized by now that there's nothing "American" about MAGA. Besides, I thought MAGA was about cracking down in waste. Now Trump wants to spend millions on a Stalin-like military parade in his honor? But you might find me dumb for still expecting an ounce of integrity for these guys.

Still... worry not, it's Donald and Pete we're talking about. They'll find a spectacular way to screw it up.

It's no surprise that I absolutely loathe this idea, and so do all my friends... But, I'm convinced it will happen anyway because it's a chance to make money and get the current administration a PR win.

Once it does, I wonder how the rest of the country - the people who weren't paying attention to this until it happened - will react when they see columns of Americans in combat gear walking in lockstep through the center of a city. Will they start to wonder where this leads culturally? Or will they just throw confetti and wave flags and eat hot dogs?
