A warning to all US allies
The Moron In Chief recently partly explained his sudden decision to leave the Kurds to the wolves (literally; the wolf is a revered symbol for the Turks) with the interesting fact that the Kurds failed to aid America in WW2, specifically on D-Day. I'm sure the Kurds were also guilty of ignoring America's struggle against Imperial Japan. I mean, where were they when Pearl Harbor happened?
Being so focused on the tiny details, Trump specifies that the Kurds failed to oppose Reza Shah in Iran who harbored Nazi sympathies, and it took some effort from the US and British forces to expel him. And when the US, British and Soviet forces occupied a corridor across Iran to help the aid shipments to the Soviets, the local Kurds didn't help either.
Now that the precedent has been set, let's make the logical step further, and see which other US allies we could warn about possible abandonment by Big Brother. Taiwan, for starters. Why should America be helping Taiwan if China decides to invade? After all, where were the Taiwanese during the American war for independence?
What about South Korea? Why should America be spending billions of dollars to protect South Korea from the Kims? Last time I checked, the South Koreans were nowhere to be found when the US was liberating Grenada and Cuba from the Soviets. Right?
Oh, and don't forget Israel. Why is America so obsessed with being Israel's friend and protector, when they failed to lend a hand when the British were burning the White House in 1812?
The list could go on and on. America (still) has many friends, or at least so they claim to be. But most of them weren't available to help when America needed them the most. I mean, I'm sure they don't mean ill, but they're just too lazy and selfish. So may they be warned. America doesn't owe friendship to anybody, especially when it doesn't suit the interests of Donnie's friends and his business, and most of all his approval ratings. If even a puppet state like Ukraine is failing to duly dig dirt on his political opponents whenever he requests, what kind of friends are those?
