Why would NATO be shocked that forgetting Turkey is in NATO to the point of letting Russia overfly its territory at will and only treating a Syrian Civil War overspill at a Parisian soccer game as a great moral crisis has consequences, exactly? What benefit does pretending NATO gives a fuck about anything east of the Elbe do Turkey? Or the Baltic states, for that matter?
