I'm not sure that Australia can use us (the UK) as an excuse for inaction on a treaty with the native Australian peoples. Pretty certain, that despite the present administration's policies, that the UK would be favourable to some sort of settlement. I reckon it's down to you guys, despite the history.

The republic bit is down to you guys too. You can get rid of HM any time you vote to do so. I think you would be wrong to do so, but I would think that, wouldn't I?
