There might be one more reason to want to get away from fossil fuels that's even more urgent than climate: health (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/fossil-fuels-pollution-toxic-air_568425cbe4b0b958f65b0a64). Things are starting to reach dramatic proportions in some parts of the world.
