Of course we must feed lions meat, I do not recall having argued of the opposite.

It's not just the children. I have worked in a number of natural reserves on three continents, reporting on specific habitats and ecosystems; I have frequently witnessed animals tear each other apart and feast on each other - and yet, when I go to the zoo, *I* (not the children) expect to see animals in a more controlled and relaxed environment. I'm sure there are more elegant ways to feed a lion with the carcass of a dead giraffe than placing said giraffe at the central square of the zoo and chopping it to pieces in front of visitors, then throwing it to the lions. Do you sense the slight nuance there?
