200 miles isn't very good. It's alright, but in terms of what people expect, it just isn't there yet (or gas prices aren't high enough for people to be okay with it).

It doesn't have to be capable of doing a cross country drive to be viable for the way most people drive.

Eventually it will have to, otherwise it will never become mainstream. The short range will be a problem.
