New York Times said it's about a 37 percent tax rate. (http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2013/05/25/sunday-review/corporate-taxes.html?smid=tw-share&_r=2&) But economists state that doesn't consider the costs of environmental damage from oil spills, and the severe economic damage that results from spills, and other diasters.

But the idea oil and gas industries are being taxed into thin air, and aren't making lots of money, that's a bunch of malarkey.
