The other day, W's former economy adviser, now turned Indiana governor, was guest to Colbert, promoting his book (everyone seems to be popping up books these days).

Governor: "We have accumulated a huge deficit".
Colbert: "See, Clinton left surpluses, and Obama inherited a huge deficit. Tell me governor, who chloroformed you and took all that money?"
