I hate to tell you, but having people around you ignore you when you point out an abuser, happens (sadly) whether it's a boy or a girl doing it. It happens to boys and girls. You have no idea how often I've heard this type of story from a girl. Not to diminish your story in the least, but it's actually not easy to know why kids are ignored. It could be because she was a girl, but it could just as likely be one of those all too frequent tragic childhood traumas that we hear of, which are ignored because it's easier to ignore them than to do something. In any case, what do we say when a girl is ignored when telling on a boy abuser. That she is ignored because he is a boy?
