You seem to be drawing an equivalence to defenseless children and people like the fine folks at Enron, crack dealers, rapists, murderers, and worst of all...child molesters and child pornographers who prey on the defenselessness of children.

I'm not going to join you in this.

So, I still say exploit these inmates for cheap labor especially those that cannot be rehabilitated. In fact, we already do this. I haven't seen a "door to Hell" opened by stamping license plates, janitorial details, or busting rocks at a quarry. They knew prison was a possibility when they did the crimes so I'd say they were daring society to make them helpless and exploited.
